There is arguably no better feeling than the feeling of accomplishment. It’s just awesome to collect the benefits of the work you’re put into.

Either getting stronger from going consistently to the gym, to finish that school project that will amp up, or landing that promotion you’ve been working your ass off to get.

It just feels good to walk through life with a certain amount of competence.

However, it seems that nowadays we live in a Self Improvement Culture, where none of that is possible if you don’t put yourself through any self-improvement process.

Sure you might get some sort of inspiration or even learn something new, but if you don’t apply anything to your life, it just won’t translate into any form of success. All you’re doing is hindering your productivity and postponing your real self-realization.

What is the point of seeing videos on how to establish the perfect morning routine if you’re not doing something productive afterward?

Reading that book won’t help you get more friends. Talking to people will.

Liking that motivational quote won’t make you richer. Working and investing will.

You either do it, or you don’t.

Inspired by a fellow creator, I decided to challenge myself to publish 100 short-form articles within January. This is article number 21.
