Minimalism is a cult and we are accepting new candidates — the funny joke every minimalist has said at some point in one of their dozen overshares. And I’m also guilty of this — case and point, this article.

Minimalism has its benefits, people know that. However, people also know that minimalists tend to use it as a bragging card. That is why they hate on it and, in most cases, avoid it.

And I get it! Let’s face it: how many videos have you seen on YouTube of people showcasing their minimalist lifestyle? Does everyone need to know the Top 10 Tips to Become a Minimalist? Of course not!

To those, it feels like a Millenial Movement inspired on people that already live a financially aware life and choose to own less.

Like in every other topic there will be people who want to learn more about Minimalism and others will just simply ignore it.

If the whole concept about Minimalism isn’t for you but you kinda seek a minimalistic lifestyle, just buy less stuff. And if you buy stuff, just make it sustainable.

My friends usually say I am way too fluid in my opinions when in fact I just can understand both sides of an argument. That is why I can both advocate and disregard Minimalism — that’s my only sociopathic trait, I swear!

Regardless of everything above, I’ll continue to share my minimalistic experience with those who want to know about it.

Inspired by a fellow creator, I decided to challenge myself to publish 100 short-form articles within January. This is article number 3.
