Creators can now make money directly from Instagram as Meta launched a subscription service for it, like Twitch.

It allows the creators to set a monthly price of their choice. Then they can share exclusive content like stories, lives, etc.

Subscribers will get a badge next to their names so the creator can easily identify them everywhere across the platform.

At the moment the feature is only available in the US. However, Meta intents to launch it worldwide in a few months

If you’re in the US you can now start making money directly from Instagram. You can sell your services, make tutorials, share tips and tricks, make live courses, you name it.

As for non-US-based content creators, you still have time to grow your account and plan what you’re going to sell through its subscription.

The news might not be that positive for platforms like Patreon and non-sexual OnlyFans accounts.

Some creators fund their business through those platforms, but now Instagram allows them to converge all their efforts into one single platform.

Inspired by a fellow creator, I decided to challenge myself to publish 100 short-form articles within January. This is article number 38.
