4 Ways to Calm Down When Feeling Reactive

Whether you’re a short-fused person or the conversation is escalating towards a point of no return, you must be able to keep control when feeling reactive.
So here are a few ways you can act to avoid any upcoming conflict.
- Step out of the conversation for a bit of a breather outside. It will refresh your mind.
- Admit your feelings are hurt and that you need to process them before you can continue with the conversation.
- Acknowledge you’re feeling reactive and that things might worsen if the conversation continues at the given moment.
- Ask for some space with the promise of continuing the conversation when you cool your mind.
