3 Free Tools I Use to Create Images for Medium

Unsplash has been suggested far too much on Medium. The result is overuse of the same picture.

I started using Pexels instead until I came across Jonah Malin’s advice. Then I started assembling my cover images.

Cleanup.pictures

Using AI, this website removes any object you want from your image.

It’s not perfect when compared with the likes of Photoshop, but it works for simpler removals.

Remove.bg

Upload your picture with an evident item in focus and this site removes the background. You can then download the png for free.

Canva

The final piece of the assembly line. Mix the png with some Canva elements and the results are something like this:
